Nordex SE Triples Profit in Q3, Raises Full-Year Outlook
Nordex SE reported a nearly threefold increase in Q3 2026 net income, reaching €147.1 million compared to €51.7 million in the same period last year, signaling a substantial turnaround in profitability. This surge was propelled by a more than doubling of EBITDA to €278.2 million, with the EBITDA margin improving to 12.7% from 8.0% in Q3 2025.
The company’s strong performance extends to its order book, which reached €19.3 billion as of September 30th, a 31% increase year-over-year, with the Projects segment accounting for €12.2 billion. This robust demand is reflected in a 29.5% increase in order intake for the Projects segment, reaching 2,810 MW. The increased order backlog supports the company’s decision to raise its full-year EBITDA margin guidance to 11.5-12.5%, up from the previous forecast of 8.0-11.0%.
While production volume saw a slight 7% decrease to 2,363 MW, aligned with project scheduling, the company maintained a strong focus on operational efficiency. Free cash flow generation reached €379.1 million in Q3, a significant increase from €149.0 million in the prior-year period, demonstrating the impact of improved business execution. This positive cash flow, combined with a solid net cash position of €2.031.3 million, positions Nordex favorably for future investments and growth.
The results indicate a continuing recovery for Nordex, building on previous improvements in profitability and resilience. The raised full-year guidance, combined with a significantly expanded order book, suggests the company is effectively navigating the current market dynamics and capitalizing on the growing demand for wind energy solutions. The improved EBITDA margin of 12.7% positions Nordex within the upper end of its mid-term target range, and the company will remain focused on consistent delivery.
