Foxconn Invests Over $113 Million in European Expansion
Foxconn has made a significant investment in its European operations, acquiring shares in three companies – eCMMS Precision Singapore, Foxconn AI Solution (FR) SAS, and Foxconn European Manufacturing Services – for a total of over $113 million, according to a series of filings on October 23, 2026.
The acquisitions, totaling $1,101,000,000 USD for eCMMS Precision Singapore, approximately $58,000,000 USD for Foxconn AI Solution (FR) SAS, and $44,000,000 USD for Foxconn European Manufacturing Services, were all approved by the company’s board of directors and funded entirely with internal resources. These moves represent a strategic effort to diversify manufacturing locations and increase investment in artificial intelligence capabilities. The company states the acquisitions are for ‘long-term investment’ purposes.
The investments are notable as they collectively increase Foxconn’s holdings to 100% ownership in Foxconn AI Solution (FR) SAS and eCMMS Precision Singapore, and to 90.42% and 9.58% holdings respectively in Foxconn European Manufacturing Services. As of the filing date, these investments represent 16.89% of Foxconn’s total assets and 34.34% of equity attributable to owners of the parent company. The investment in AI solutions aligns with broader industry trends, as companies increasingly focus on developing and deploying AI technologies across various sectors.
These acquisitions come amidst a period of restructuring in global supply chains, as evidenced by new partnerships in semiconductor manufacturing and increased domestic manufacturing preferences in markets like India. Foxconn’s expansion into Europe and focus on AI solutions could provide resilience against geopolitical risks and position the company to capitalize on emerging opportunities in these high-growth areas.
These investments now represent 16.89% of the company’s total assets and 34.34% of equity attributable to owners of the parent company, while the company currently reports a negative operating cash flow of NTD -317,913,506,000.
